Since we already talk about horses we should not forget the competition Cicuito Hipico del Sol in Montenmedio. This competition takes place every year since 1995 and 450 riders participate with 1500 horses. A must for all friends of equestrian sport.
Conil disposes of a wide offer for lovers of nature, deserted beaches and active tourism. The bays of the coastline from Conil to Roche have a great scenic and ecological value. For example the Cala de Aceite, Melchor, del Pato, del Frailecillo, playa Fontanilla or Fuente del Gallo. Not less important is the entire environment. The forest Pinar de Roche with its characteristic red sandy paths and sea view is a unique place of the region and popular by walkers, Nordic walkers and cyclists. The Parque Natural de la Breña is reachable in 20 minutes by car and the Parque Natural de Grazalema in the center of the Sierra de Cadiz with the unique Pinsapo, descendant from the central European fir-tree does complete the catalogue of touristic attractions.
Worth mentioning is also the gastronomy of Conil where the innovative as well as the traditional cuisine will satisfy even the highest demand.
With a variety of restaurants and Tapa Bars, the kitchen of Conil gets great recognition for the quality of their products. Vegetables, above all tomatoes from own cultivation are much appreciated and also the sea contributes its shale with fish, like tuna, sea bream and urta.
